Project overview
Scottish Renewables is the voice of Scotland’s renewable energy industry. They are a membership led organisation who works to grow the renewable energy sector while also sustaining the country at the forefront of global clean energy. The project was originally a ground-up redevelopment of the companies client facing website, but once we had fully evaluated their requirements the project expanded to incorporate the creation of a bespoke web based membership database, CRM system and event management.

The end result
When tictoc was first approached with this project, the initial brief was to create a new website that would integrate with a third-party CRM for memberships and an off-the-shelf event booking system. However, after diving deeper through our workshops and planning sessions, we quickly realised that building a fully customised solution directly into the website would not only meet all the requirements but also offer a future-proof, streamlined business system.
We developed a flexible, information-driven website that is fully responsive, ensuring a seamless experience for users across all devices—whether they’re on desktop, tablet, or mobile.
The system features an online, multi-level membership application process, including payment options by credit card or invoice. This is fully integrated with a custom-built CRM that manages membership renewals. Plus, it syncs perfectly with the organisation’s Xero accounting system, automating the entire process – from application and payment to invoicing and renewals.
Additionally, we created a bespoke event management system, allowing users to book individual seats or entire tables at events. It includes complex features like table planning, member discounts, and detailed reporting.
This custom system has become an essential part of the organisation’s daily operations, drastically reducing manual admin tasks and improving overall efficiency.
